Studio 99, Inc. – SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) Policy
Effective Date: September 1, 2025
Contact Email: security@studio99.pro
Governing Law: Florida
1. Introduction
Studio 99, Inc. (“Studio 99,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) values your trust and is committed to safeguarding your information through the use of industry-standard encryption technologies. This SSL Policy explains how we protect data transmitted between your device and our servers.
2. What Is SSL?
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), and its successor Transport Layer Security (TLS), are encryption protocols that create a secure channel between your browser or app and our servers. SSL ensures that:
- Data is encrypted and unreadable to unauthorized parties.
- Integrity is maintained so data is not altered during transfer.
- Authentication verifies that you are communicating directly with Studio 99.
3. SSL Protection on Studio 99 Services
- All data transmitted through Studio 99 websites, mobile applications, and APIs is encrypted with 256-bit SSL/TLS certificates.
- Browsers display a padlock icon or “https://” in the address bar when connected securely.
- SSL certificates are renewed and monitored regularly to prevent expiration or misuse.
4. Scope of SSL Coverage
SSL encryption applies to, but is not limited to:
- User login credentials and account details.
- Payment and financial transactions (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, etc.).
- Personal data (names, emails, phone numbers, addresses).
- Uploaded content, communications, and media files.
- API integrations and third-party service connections.
5. User Responsibilities
While Studio 99 secures data in transit, users are responsible for:
- Ensuring their devices, operating systems, and browsers are up to date.
- Not sharing account credentials or using unsecured networks (e.g., public Wi-Fi without VPN).
- Immediately reporting suspicious activity to security@studio99.pro.
6. Compliance with State & Federal Law
- Florida law governs this Policy.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): SSL encryption ensures consumer rights to secure data transfer.
- New York (NY SHIELD Act): SSL/TLS is part of the “reasonable safeguards” required to protect resident data.
- Federal & International Standards: Our SSL practices align with PCI-DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) and GDPR/UK GDPR data protection requirements.
7. SSL Certificate Management
- Studio 99 obtains SSL/TLS certificates only from trusted Certificate Authorities (CAs).
- Certificates are renewed proactively before expiration.
- Automated monitoring ensures vulnerabilities or misconfigurations are corrected immediately.
8. Limitations of SSL
While SSL protects data in transit, it does not:
- Secure data stored locally on your device.
- Prevent phishing attempts from third parties.
- Guarantee protection if a user’s device is already compromised (e.g., malware).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this SSL Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted with a new Effective Date. Continued use of the Services after changes indicates acceptance.
